Experience
I believe it is crucial for students to find understanding and meaning in what they are learning and, as a tutor, I hope to help facilitate that. I like to work with my students by using explanation coupled with visual information. I find the combination to be the most helpful, but I know each student learns in their own unique way.I love to tutor students individually. I especially enjoy teaching Science subjects. I have enjoyed them ever since I was in high school, and I have to say that Microbiology is my favorite. I offer tutoring in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Genetics, Molecular Biology, AP Biology, General Biology, Molecular Genetics, Laboratory, Medicine, and Virology.I am a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I then went on to get my Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where I focused in Microbiology. In addition, I earned a certificate of advanced study in Adolescent Education from The College of St. Rose. When I'm not busy, I love to go horseback riding, take dance lessons, and play with my two pet dogs. I also like to take care of my plants and watch movies.
